The 2016 Toyota Prius offers exciting changes
The new 2016 Toyota Prius brings welcome changes in styling, better gas mileage, improved handling, and a more stable ride. This green machine is still the gold-standard for fuel efficient technology.
2016 Toyota Prius delivers angular and edgy good looks
The body of the Toyota Prius has remained unchanged since 2009. The new Prius is 2.4 inches longer, .06 inches wider, and .08 inches lower than previous years. With the intention of increasing passenger room in the backseat, these small changes could mean a lot for passenger comfort.
Highly stylized headlights and taillights give the car some extra character. Lines along the sides of the car make it look less like previous years, but they don’t erase the instantly recognizable Prius façade.
The 2016 Toyota Prius offers Toyota’s Safety Sense (TSS) suite of technologies. A lane departure warning system with steering assist, automatic high beams, radar cruise control system, and an automated pre-collision braking system with pedestrian detection are among the new safety features. Prius is the first in the Toyota lineup to receive these innovative technologies.
Better handling in 2016
With a sporty front strut setup and lower center of gravity, then new Prius offers better overall handling. A more rigid body reduced lean in corners while driving. The double-wishbone rear suspension offers a better overall feel. Prius doesn’t aspire to be a sports car, but these improvements make it a much friendlier car for daily driving.
2016 Toyota Prius pricing
The Prius Two has a decent $25,032 base price and the Prius Four Touring has a slightly elevated $30,835 base price. Fans of the Prius line take its amazing gas mileage into consideration, and this lineup offers low mileage worth figuring into the price. With 54mpg city and 50mpg highway ratings this well-mannered brand-new Toyota Prius has a lot to offer drivers.
